A WOW Festival favourite, Views on the News comes to WOW 365 as a regular monthly event - offering members insightful, engaging and international takes on the stories shaping our world. Each session brings together journalists, activists, artists and cultural thinkers to unpack news from across the globe, shining a spotlight on stories that are often missed, overlooked or under-reported, especially through a gender equality lens.

News stories will be selected for their relevance, resonance and international context - whether revealing the gender dimensions of a bigger issue, highlighting grassroots innovation, challenging familiar narratives or celebrating moments of joy and progress.

Hosted by WOW's Director of Festivals and Programmes Domino Pateman, the panel will explore how headlines are formed, whose perspectives are prioritised, and what deeper dynamics lie under the surface.
