Lucky Qindeel
(she/her)Young Leader 2026
Lucky is a young period rights and gender-just climate activist from Sindh, Pakistan, and the Founder of Project Mehfooz. Her work advances feminist, community-led climate action by embedding menstrual justice at the centre of climate resilience in flood-affected regions. She addresses systemic gaps that emerge during climate emergencies where access to menstrual products, safe sanitation, and accurate health information collapses by building locally driven, gender-responsive responses. Through awareness sessions, dignity kit distributions, and adolescent-led dialogues, she reframes menstrual justice as a core climate justice priority rather than a secondary health issue.
Under Project Mehfooz, she leads گونج (Goonj) a feminist movement championing inclusive and gender-responsive climate action and menstrual justice. Goonj advocates for policies and grassroots reform that recognise the disproportionate impact of climate disasters on Deaf girls and women.
A defining pillar of her leadership is centring Deaf students and communities within climate and SRHR advocacy. Through sign language-inclusive workshops and accessible educational materials, she ensures climate action is structurally inclusive. Her work affirms that climate justice is incomplete without accessibility, dignity, and equal participation at every level.
