Mandu Reid

From 2019 to 2024 Mandu was the leader of the UK Women's Equality Party, she was the first person of colour to lead a national political party in British history. Before that she worked for all three Mayors of London (Ken, Boris, and Sadiq). She is now a single mum to a two year old boy and works as a freelance strategist and advisor to leaders and senior teams of mission-led organisations and corporates that want to do good in the world. Clients include: UN Women, the Green Party, GlaxoSmithKline, the University of East London, Heineken, and the Women's Super League.

In 2019, Apolitical recognised her as one of the 100 most influential people in global gender policy, alongside Melinda French Gates, Michelle Obama, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg amongst others. Three years later, the Black Cultural Archives celebrated her as one of 40 Black British leaders shaping society for the better.
