Midnight Adams

Midnight Adams is a Scottish documentary journalist. She is currently studying her MSc in Humanitarianism, Aid & Conflict at SOAS, University of London, and is an associate at the non-profit collective Interwire News. She has also worked with First News and The Muslim News as an intern.
Her writing has been published by Shout Out UK, the Oxford Middle East Research Journal, The Zone Paper, and SOAS Spirit & Anima Magazine. She has also produced over 40 short films, music videos and documentaries on a range of narratives, and is currently in production on her first impact feature documentary 'Daughters of War', which explores the lives of women & girls enduring their periods in war-torn communities. This documentary will be supported by a widespread campaign to change legislation surrounding menstrual hygiene infrastructure and accessibility for women worldwide, which is also the thesis of her dissertation.
Her recent hybrid documentary 'When The Tiles Spoke', in collaboration with internationally-acclaimed Syrian filmmaker Soudade Kaadan, is currently on display at Leighton House Museum, London, until the end of September.
In her free time, Midnight runs cross-country for Middlesex County, and is a keen linguist, currently working on mastering Arabic and Korean.
