Millicent Wenlock is a dedicated advocate for social justice, focusing on gender equality, neuroinclusion, and supporting care-experienced individuals. Her leadership journey is defined by driving systemic change through collaboration and policy influence.
As a leader within The Care Experienced Movement, Millicent co-led strategic planning that significantly increased organisational outreach and cultivated partnerships with key policymakers to champion reforms. She further demonstrated this commitment by founding the All of Us Employment Group, creating a platform of over 1,200 members to connect care-experienced and estranged students with professional opportunities.
Millicent's commitment to gender equality is evident through her work with Restless Development, where she spearheaded the Walking the Talk Campaign, lobbying MPs on feminist foreign policy. With Irise International, she co-produced a Period Equity Toolkit for schools and has advocated for menstrual justice on national platforms. As a member of the Empower Period Committee, she has contributed to campaigns reaching thousands.
Her expertise in inclusion is also applied as a Neuroinclusion Advisor for Ambitious about Autism, providing lived-experience insights to inform projects across sectors. Through her various roles, Millicent consistently works to ensure marginalised voices are not just heard, but are central to creating a more equitable world.
