Naomi Calaman

Naomi Calaman is a 20 year old youth leader for the self defence training CIC, Blossom. She understands just how powerful her presence is for young girls in her local area thanks to her helping girls discover their strengths and confidence through sessions of creative arts, discussing important life topics and fitness in Young Buds, the project she leads.

Her motivation stems from the fact that not everyone in our community has the support they need, so Naomi has committed to being one of those people someone can rely on. With a humble and understanding nature, Naomi makes it easy for even the shyest girls to open up and confide in her. Building friendships and reassuring them that they belong has made her pivotal to the impact that this project has had.

Naomi also assist with the full day training courses that Blossom deliver. Being around and working alongside women and hearing their stories is what motivates her but what really drives her is the knowledge that she is able to advice and help women keep themselves safe.
