Ramandeep Nijjar

Ramandeep Nijjar is a 21 year old naturalist and youth environmental leader. She is dedicated to speaking, engaging and taking action on behalf of our planet’s nature as well as being a voice for young people. She is also keen to keep pushing for greater collaborations between organisations and generations.
Ramandeep is currently in her final year studying Zoology at the University of Reading. Alongside her studies, she is a trustee for Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust, key organiser and spokesperson for UK Youth for Nature, youth representative for the British Trust for Ornithology, learning facilitator of Climate Fresks, squad leader for My Life My Say and part of the team working on the youth nature storytelling podcast ‘Generation Nature.’
She also contributes to a youth-led newsletter and website platform to provide young people (aged 16-30) in the UK with access to genuine opportunities that empower them to reach their goals. In the future, Ramandeep hopes to continue to do work that makes a positive difference for all life on earth.
