Sonia Jordan
(she/her)Young Leader 2026
Sonia is a 21-year-old feminist from London committed to dismantling patriarchy and ending violence against women and girls.
Her activism began when she ran her school’s Feminist Society, creating space for political education and dialogue. In that role, she participated in discussions with writer Sara Ahmed and Everyone’s Invited founder Soma Sara.
At the University of Bristol, Sonia served as Deputy Head of the Intersectional Feminist Society, organising campaigns and leading a student demonstration following the re-election of Donald Trump in 2025. For her, protest is not only symbolic but necessary, a collective refusal to normalise misogyny, racism, and authoritarianism.
Alongside her studies, she volunteered with Everyone’s Invited, contributing to the movement exposing rape culture.
Sonia now works in frontline domestic abuse services in London, supporting women and children in refuge. Working directly with survivors has sharpened her understanding of how systemic inequality sustains violence, and the urgent need for structural change.
She has explored an interest in writing creative non-fiction, including an article published in DominAsian which explores feminism through culture and diaspora.
Sonia is committed to collective liberation and building a world where women and marginalised communities can live free from violence.
