Tetyana Filevska

(she/her)

Tetyana Filevska is a Creative Director of the Ukrainian Institute, Ukraine’s cultural diplomacy organisation and an art-manager, curator and writer. Her background is in aesthetics with experience in contemporary art and Ukrainian art history of the 20 century. She is the author of the books KAZIMIR MALEVICH. Kyiv Period 1928-1930, Kazimir Malevich. Kyiv Aspect and Dmitro Gorbachov. Sluchayi. She was creative producer of the documentary Malevich. Born in Ukraine (2018) and a fiction film Malevych (2024). Tetyana worked in the EIDOS Foundation Centre for Contemporary Art, in the Center for Contemporary Art Foundation, in the Izolyatsia. Platform for Cultural Initiatives, in the Mystetskyi arsenal on The First Kyiv International Biennale of Contemporary Art ARSENALE 2012. Tetyana curated a public programme of the Ukrainian Pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale dedicated to decolonisation. In 2024 she curated an exhibition Lomykamin. Women’s resistance in Crimea. In 2025 she was appointed a Commissioner of the Ukrainian pavilion at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale.
