Grace Victory & Candice Brathwaite at WOW

Join Grace Victory and Candice Brathwaite at WOW as they share how they grew their careers to encompass writing, fashion, presenting, and inspiring others in their journeys to motherhood. In this exclusive event, they’ll talk to Tobi Oredein, award-winning women's lifestyle journalist, media entrepreneur and Founder of Black Ballad, about the ways in which they use their words and platforms to create supportive and thriving communities.

Grace and Candice will also touch on some of the causes close to their hearts such as mental health and maternal mortality rates for Black women in Britain, and Grace’s own experiences of building a relationship with her baby son as she recovered from life-threatening Covid complications.

Candice is the author of I Am Not Your Baby Mother and Sista Sister, a journalist, TV presenter, and founder of Make Motherhood Diverse. She has a regular style segment on Lorraine on ITV, is a Contributing Editor to Grazia and regularly appears on national radio and television to talk about maternal mortality rates for black women in Britain.

Grace is an award-winning digital-first creator, Happiful Magazine’s first guest columnist, a powerful TedX speaker, presenter of BBC 3's "Clean Eating's Dirty Secrets", and the winner of InStyle Magazine’s ‘Most Inspiring Role Model’ Award. Grace talks openly about topics that are perceived taboo; therapy, sex, trauma, relationship dynamics, diet culture, self-awareness and spirituality. Grace is the author of How to Calm It (Merky Books) with a foreword by Black Minds Matter.

This event will be BSL Interpreted.
