WOW London is back in person! Join the world’s biggest festival celebrating women, girls and non-binary people, as we gather together once again.

Join WOW as we congregate to strengthen connections, form new friendships and hear from mind blowing speakers in an event that brings gender equality back to the fore featuring Reni Eddo Lodge,Nova Reid, Sandi ToksvigRasha Nahas and more!

In this afternoon of fierce compassion, laughter and urgency led by WOW Founder Jude Kelly, we ask how we can all be bolder in our activism, whilst finding space to celebrate our joys and accomplishments.

Opening with a touch of magic, President of The Magic Circle magician Megan Swann dazzles with environmental magic. This will be followed by an urgent conversation on Afghanistan featuring Fawzia Koofi, a former member of the Afghan Parliament, its first-ever female Deputy Speaker, and renowned human rights and women’s rights defender; Fawzia Amini, former senior Judge of the Afghan Supreme Court; Founder of RAW in WAR (Reach All Women in WAR) Mariana Katzarova; and Baroness Helena Kennedy QC.

Prepare to be challenged, moved and celebrated, with WOW Big Ideas from teacher, priest, Archdeacon and activist and mother of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman Mina Smallman; scientist and author Camilla Pang; and writer and artist Khairani Barokka.

There’ll be a spine-tingling performance by Palestinian singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Rasha Nahas as we remember some of the lives lost this year. Plus there will be a special in memoriam event honouring the life and legacy of pioneering feminist thinker bell hooks with author and activist Nova Reid and award winning journalist and writer Reni Eddo Lodge.

Be prepared to laugh, chortle and snort as award winning comedian Sophie Duker performs a hilarious set for us live on stage. Sophie won the Funny Women Best Comedy Writer Award as nominated by her industry peers in the 2021 Funny Women Awards.

Sandi Toksvig draws the day to a close with her insights on fun, politics… and everything in between.

Come together for laughter, joy, these world-class speakers, artists and activists as we look at the world we live in now. From politics to body image and love to money, there’ll be something for everyone.
