WOW Scotland has been announced! The WOW Foundation works in partnership with amazing women and organisations to create WOW Festivals across the world. While each festival is different in its own wonderful, unique way, there are elements that stay consistent at every WOW Festival wherever you are in the world; from the WOW Marketplace to Under 10's Feminist Corners. Every WOW Festival starts with ‘WOW Think Ins’.

WOW Think Ins are a chance people to have their say on what WOW festivals should be about. WOW Scotland will be hosting four WOW Think Ins in the lead up to the first fundraising event, two online and two in person. Each WOW Think In will be presented in partnership with organisations including Engender and Girl Guiding Scotland with more to be confirmed.

Four woman who between them have over 100 years of experience working and delivering productions, shows, events and festivals in Scotland and beyond. This team are passionate about activism and the WOW festival and what it can achieve in terms of engagement, connectivity, diversity and legacy.

The WOW Scotland Team said: “We are thrilled to embark on this journey of discovery and community and bring WOW to Scotland. There is so much we all have to share, listen to and learn from living in Scotland today. Gender equality is an issue which affects so many aspects of our lives. We are inclusive, we want to hear from women, girls and non-binary people. We want to hear from anyone who considers themselves affected by these issues. We are inspired by The WOW Foundation which has built up so much momentum and support around the world. We are looking for Scottish partners who feel passionate about gender equality and the strive to make a difference to our small corner of the world. Please join us in any way you can.”
