Amie Ferris-Rotman

Amie Ferris-Rotman is a British-American journalist. As Reuters senior correspondent in Kabul, she reported on Afghanistan’s transformation before founding Sahar Speaks, a programme supporting Afghan female journalists. She spent nearly a decade in Moscow, holding roles at The Washington Post and Foreign Policy. From Kazakhstan to Ukraine, her work has focused on women’s rights and has earned numerous honours, including a British Press Award and first place from the Society for Features Journalism. She is the co-author, with Zahra Joya, of The Vanishing Girl of Kabul.
