My dream is simple yet profound: to create opportunities for women to rebuild their lives, to find their voice, and to reclaim their dignity. In every hardship, I see the potential for growth, for resilience, for solidarity.
Andrely Sampy is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and has spent the last 6 years living in Greece, obtaining education from Multicultural Public School in Athens and mastering the English language. As a refugee, she has become a beacon of hope and inspiration for other children who grew up alongside her in Athens shelters, breaking through every barrier life placed in her path. She is working towards obtaining her GED to pursue a degree in international relations, with the ultimate goal of traveling to disadvantaged countries and making a difference.
Despite a demanding schedule, she works full time as a caregiver at The HOME Project shelters and volunteers with her community. Last December, she and her friends raised funds to send to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, providing women and children with essential supplies, such as clothes and food. This effort ignited her passion to create a nonprofit in her home country, dedicated to empowering women and children, inspired by the support she found among women in Athens. She believes in the boundless potential within herself and every woman, recognizing their worth beyond traditional gender roles.
