Ben Hurst

(he/him)

Ben Hurst is a talented and versatile facilitator, best known for his ability to connect with people- whether he's energising a rowdy group of young people or guiding volunteers through complex and challenging conversations. His warmth, humour, and energy are central to building and maintaining Beyond Equality's volunteer community, and to inspiring others to get behind it's mission.

At Beyond Equality, Ben works to engage men and boys in brave and transformative rethinking of what 'being a man' means- for themselves, for others, and for the communities they're part of. He believes boys won't just "be boys", they'll be who we teach them to be. His work is grounded in preventing gender-based violence, fostering healthier identities, and creating communities where everyone feels safe.

Ben brings a wealth of experience to this work, having previously worked with the sex education charity ACET UK (Esteem) and earned a degree in Youth Work and Theology from Regents Theological College. Beyond his facilitation, he co-hosts TEDxLondon's Climate Curious podcast, where he brings the same curiosity, humour, and clarity to conversations about the climate crisis as he does to conversations about gender, identity, and social change.
