Christina Galanopoulou

Christina Galanopoulou is an Athens based journalist who has worked in the Greek media industry since 1998, holding senior roles at some of the country’s most influential outlets (Eleftherotypia, ANT1, LiFO, etc.).
Over the past 15 years, her reporting and the podcast series she has created have focused on gender related issues, their representation in Greek media, and topics connected to the feminist movement in Greece.
She has spoken at major feminist events and has interviewed internationally renowned figures in the feminist field, including Booker Prize–winning author and academic Bernardine Evaristo, award winning American filmmaker and film professor Nina Menkes, activist gynecologist and author Jen Gunter, historian and essayist Lucile Peytavin, and the founder of the #MeToo movement and iconic activist Tarana Burke.
She currently serves as a Management Consultant at the free press outlet Athens Voice and has collaborated closely with the WOW Athens team since the very first festival.
