Kalliopi Athanasiadi

Kalliopi Athanassiadi was born in Athens in December 1964. She graduated from the German School of Athens and attended the Medical School of the University of Athens. She specialized in Thoracic Surgery in Greece and then went to centers in Germany and Canada. She was Head of the Thoracic Surgery Department of the Medical School of Hanover, Germany. In 2009 she returned to Greece and was appointed as senior consultant in Thoracic Surgery, initially at the General Hospital of Piraeus and then at the General Hospital “EVANGELISMOS”, where she remains until today being also president of the Association of the Scientific Staff.
