Ourania - Nefeli Kappou studied at the Department of Primary Education of the University of Athens and continued with postgraduate studies at the Institute of Education of the UCL, specialising in Sociology of Childhood and Children's Rights. She also obtained a specialisation in Communication and New Media from the Department of Communication and Media of the University of Athens.
She has worked in private and public schools, receiving an award from the Academy of Athens for her contribution to the primary school of the remote island of Thymena. She cooperates with the Athens Lifelong Learning Institute as a European project manager in the fields of school education and media literacy. She is co-founder of EducAid NGO, which deals with educational inclusion and innovation, and founder of Cecco toys.
