Zülal Tannur
(she/her)Young Leader 2026
Zülal Tannur is a cognitive neuroscientist from The University of Arizona and a serial DeepTech entrepreneur setting global precedents in AI. Born with 5% vision, autism, and ADHD, she spent her childhood "teaching her brain how to see" before losing her sight at age 10. By converting synesthetic perception and hyperfocus into "natural optimization tools," she replicates the biological brain’s energy-efficient architecture into her AI frameworks.
Her career is defined by global firsts: she developed From Your Eyes, creating the world's fastest video processing technology with a record-breaking 98.03% accuracy and 4ms latency. She founded NeuroVision AI Tech, pioneering the world’s first Vision-Language Models (VLMs) trained and operated on-device without internet connectivity. At MYELION, she is building the world’s first hardware-agnostic AI backbone that solves the processing power paradox by operating with minimal computational load.
Mentored by NVIDIA Co-Founder Chris Malachowsky and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, her trajectory is anchored by the Microsoft Imagine Cup 2024 World Championship. A Microsoft Women Power Awards 2025 her honors include Forbes 30 Under 30, TOYP Global World Champion, and the WIPO Best Patent Award. Tannur stands as a global leader proving that a neurodivergent mind can revolutionize the frontiers of deep technology.
