Zora Akrami

Zora Akrami is a 16-year-old multidisciplinary artist, writer and student based in the North East of England. Her work explores symbolism, and the human condition with an interest in the human condition and how creativity shapes people and the environments they inhabit.

She served on the National Saturday Club Youth Board for two years and has been involved with the Art & Design National Saturday Club at MIMA for four years, first as a student and now as a Student Assistant supporting young creatives. Her work has been exhibited at Somerset House through the National Saturday Club Summer Shows (2023–2025), Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (MIMA) and Pineapple Black Art Gallery. She has participated in eleven art competitions and open calls, including being shortlisted for the 2025 UCA Creative Arts Competition and receiving a Recognition Award from Jacobs. She has also spoken on panels advocating for creative education and amplifying young people's voices.

Alongside her visual practice, she writes essays exploring art, film, literature and architecture through symbolism and critical analysis. Her academic interests include art history, biology and the humanities. She hopes to combine her passions for biology, the arts and human rights advocacy to create meaningful social change.
