What would a world designed by women and girls look like?

That’s the big question at the heart of One Way or Another, a powerful interactive digital experience co-created by WOW, Leeds 2023, The Space, digital studio Four, and a group of brilliant Year 8 students.

Launched as part of Leeds’ Year of Culture, this web-based game invites players to explore gender equity through real-life scenarios. From street safety to social media, users are asked to make decisions, face challenges, and learn how everyday choices – and systemic structures – shape our lives.

Built in collaboration with students from Trinity Academy Leeds, the experience draws on data, storytelling and creativity to open up honest conversations about gender. It also shines a light on initiatives like The Everyday Sexism Project, encouraging young people to imagine and create more inclusive futures.

Whether you're playing in a classroom or at home, One Way or Another is a tool for discovery, discussion and change. It’s not just a game, it’s a spark for action.
