What can a new generation of activists and leaders achieve when they come together to create change? And how are youth-led movements around the world advancing equality for women, girls and non-binary people today?

This special International Day of the Girl edition of Views on the News will feature a panel of some of WOW’s Young Leaders who will spotlight campaigns and movements led by young activists around the world. From local grassroots organising, to creative forms of activism and challenging oppressive systems, our guest panellists will share stories of youth-led initiatives that are often overlooked or under-reported.

Chaired by Maryam and Nivaal Rehman, co-founders of the youth-led multimedia platform Mēz, this special panel will offer an international, intergenerational and hopeful look at how young people are shaping a better and fairer  future.

A WOW Festival favourite, Views on the News is a monthly event offering members insightful, engaging and international takes on the stories shaping our world.
