To mark five years since the fall of Kabul, this month’s WOW Views on the News is in partnership with Rukhshana Media. Founded by Zahra Joya, Rukhshana Media was created to give voice, dignity and support to the amazing women of Afghanistan, who, despite living under the Taliban, are determined not to be silenced by the most oppressive regime to women in the world.

This edition of Views on the News will shine a light on the vital reporting of Rukhshana Media and others, exploring the realities of life for women and girls in Afghanistan today. 

Come and listen to testimonies of courage, resistance and survival - and finding hope in some of the darkest circumstances - as our panel of journalists and experts reveal the news media stories they most want you to read.

Chaired by Rukhshana Media Founder Zahra Joya, with guests journalist Amie Ferris-Rotman, and feminist activist Sahar Fetrat.
