STOP Putting Pound Sings Next to Periods
By Amy, aged 13 from Elgin
Tell us about the artwork.
It is a stop sign made out of sanitary products and cardboard. It is to educate others about period poverty and show how it affects people in the world.
What inspired you to make your artwork?
Not sure exactly, I just always thought it's unfair to have to pay for sanitary products when we don't have control over getting them.
What action would you like people to take to make the world better for girls and non-binary young people today?
Make catcalling a crime, more fair opportunities for young women.
This artwork is part of WOWsers: A Creative Explosion, an exhibition supported by BBC Children In Need's impact programme focused on children’s mental health, A Million & Me.
