Saturday Day Pass

The world’s biggest festival celebrating women, girls and non-binary people is back at Southbank Centre in 2027! Join us for three days of urgency, laughter, joy, rage, world-class speakers, artists and activists, all under one roof as we look together at the world today. 

The Saturday Day Pass offers a joyful explosion of conversation, creativity and community through a full programme of talks, workshops, performances and more. Expect to be fired up, challenged and surprised as festival-goers come together to imagine and build a more equal world.

Across the day, we’ll move between the deeply personal and the wonderfully playful, exploring everything from sibling loss, from looksmaxxing and dating across the divide to the strange new world of work. We’ll unpack the pressures shaping our bodies, relationships, identities and careers, while making space for laughter and joy.

The day will open with with Jude Kelly, setting the tone for conversations that are both thought-provoking and full of possibility. Radio 1 broadcaster Richie Brave joins us for a moving conversation about sibling loss, exploring the unique grief of losing someone who has been part of your story from the very beginning.

Much loved comedian and broadcaster Sandi Toksvig will bring her trademark wit and wisdom to the festival, while artist and educator Kay Rufai invites us to explore identity, vulnerability and self-expression through his playful Mask On, Mask Off workshop.

We’ll get under the skin of looksmaxxing, exploring bonesmashing, bigorexia and the pursuit of the “perfect” face and body, and examine some of the pressure facing young people online and how we counter it.

And if you thought the pressure to look the part stopped at your face, think again. Botoxing Your CV takes a look at the role of AI in your jobsearch and bias in recruitment, while Dating Across the Divide asks how we can find healthy, happy connections in an increasingly polarised world. Joeli Brearley brings her expertise and campaigning spirit to conversations about work, equality and parenthood, while Maxine Heron adds her voice to a day packed with ideas, insight and imagining a different world together.

Across the day, expect big questions, fresh perspectives and plenty of moments to laugh, learn, challenge assumptions and connect before we come together for a closing session to end the day on a high.

Bringing together WOW’s other festivals Shameless! and Boys & Men into WOW London for the first time, festival-goers can also choose to explore their themes. In Shameless! we’ll look at how to end sexual violence; and Boys & Men events will tackle everything from the manosphere to men’s role in the fight for gender equality.
